Process For Applying ACS Skill Assessment

You must complete the online application on the official website. Even if your university qualification lacks appropriate substance, you can still apply for skill evaluation by the Australian Computer Society, provided you have 6 years of experience in a related field. If you do not have a postgraduate education and have eight years of relevant work experience, you must submit an RPL report. Through the RPL project report form, two projects need to be submitted for skill assessment. In your one report, you should include all projects you have been involved with over the past three years. The report also mentions a project undertaken during the latest five-year period.
Assessment Process for Applicants
ACS Migration Skills Assessment is responsible to review your identity documents and determine whether your educational qualifications and work experience are at a professional ICT level and are closely relevant to the specified occupation for migration reasons (ANZSCO). The ACS will compare your qualification(s) to the Australian Qualification Framework (AQF). The course units of your certification are examined to determine whether or not the professional ICT material is recognized as an ICT professional unit. The evaluation will determine whether your work is a Major, Minor, or if the ICT content is insufficient.
An ACS Assessor will evaluate the relevant work experience required to achieve the eligibility criteria after reviewing which ICT units are considered closely related to your indicated vocation. Skill Assessment Outcome
ACS will send you a formal letter in PDF format with your Assessment results. All the positive assessed letters are valid for 24 months from the date of issue and can be submitted as proof of your Skills Assessment to the Department of Home Affairs. Any unsuccessful assessments will include in the letter the reasons for the conclusion and information about the Review/Appeal Process.
Renewals and Re-Application for ACS RPL
If your first assessment expires, you must reapply by submitting a New Application. By logging into their Dashboard, applicants can submit a new application through the Online Application Portal. Please keep in mind that any new papers must be renamed when introducing a new application to distinguish them from previously submitted ones.
Skill Level Requirement Met Date.
All Successful Assessment letters will include a Skill Level Requirement Met Date based on the conclusion of the suitability criteria. Skilled Employment will be considered for all applicable work experience after the Skill Level Requirement Met Date. Please remember that the job experience needed to achieve the eligibility criterion is NOT regarded as Skilled Employment. The ACS assessment process will seek the earliest Skill Level Requirement Met Date available for each assessment type.
Skill Level Requirement Met Date requires the completion of both the necessary qualifications and related work experience. If an applicant’s work experience is completed prior to the qualification’s completion date, the Skill Level Requirement Met Date is determined by the earliest date the applicant’s work experience and the qualification are completed.
Review And Appeal Application
If you want to revise your nominated occupation (ANZSCO) and include more work experience, or qualifications to update your results, you can submit a Review Application. This review procedure consists of reviewing the original skills assessment decision to confirm that no errors in the skills assessment or application administration occurred.
A review application must be submitted within 60 days after receiving your skills assessment result letter. Any papers presented as part of the review application will be assessed alongside previously submitted paperwork.
1. All review assessments are subject to a review fee.
2. Please attach any supplementary documentation to your review application.
3. When submitting a review application, please rename any new documents to distinguish them from previously submitted ones.
4. An Applicant may also appeal an Assessment Decision if they disagree with the outcome of their assessment or believe an error occurred in their skills assessment. The appeals process entails a Senior Assessor who was not engaged in the original assessment reassessing the original application.
5. Within 60 days of receiving your skills assessment outcome letter, you must file an appeal. You can visit the ACS website for the most recent information on the typical processing periods.
6. Only one appeal may be filed per case, and the appeal’s conclusion is final.
7. You must pay an appeal fee, which will be returned if your successful appeal.
8. An appeal cannot include any additional documentation.
